XRC Kids on Sunday Morning
On Sunday morning we have three basic areas for our kids- our nurseries, Jr Kids for our preschoolers, and Kids Church for elementary school. ALL Volunteers in our kids and youth ministries have passed a background check.
Nursery
We have two nurseries on Sunday mornings.
Infant Nursery
This nursery is for babies from birth through when they start walking. Volunteers will love on your baby, keep diapers changed and feed if needed. We also have two cribs if babies need a nap during service. There are also lots of age-appropriate toys for babies.
Toddler Nursery
This nursery is for walking babies through age three or potty-trained. There are tons of age-appropriate toys for toddlers to play with. Volunteers will love on your child, keep diapers changed, support potty training, and provide a small snack.
In both nurseries, your child will be prayed over and cared for by background checked individuals. Our volunteers love babies and look forward to loving on your child!
Jr Kids & Kids Church
Jr. Kids
This class is for children who are potty trained, but not yet in school (generally ages 3-5). The class starts out with a time of worship, joining with the older kids for this. Then they return to their classroom for an age appropriate lesson using the Orange Curriculum. These lessons include a large group video, group games, and smaller activities that go more in depth on the lesson and monthly memory verse.
Kids Church
This class is for elementary school children, kindergarten through 5th grade. Again, the class starts out with worship, joined by younger kids. After worship, they have an age appropriate lesson using the Orange Curriculum. They begin with a large group video followed by small group discussions. Students are broken up into two groups- K-3 and 4-5. Small group material is age appropriate and relates to the large group lesson. There are also large group games and activities.
